What Is a Sport Therapy Massage?
Chantel has taken many courses & completed advanced education around working with high performance in sport (along with her own experience as an athlete). She spent much of her time early in her career traveling with teams & athletes to events. Although, now entirely in clinic, she still maintains a focus on sport & performance.
A Sport Therapy Massage focuses on encouraging pain free, efficient movement. The goal is to increase mobility through both passive and active releases. You’re not on the table the whole time, you get in depth assessments and there’s little chance of you dozing off. You get to move. You get moved.
All with a focus on regaining pain free, efficient, powerful, balanced movement.

What do I wear during my treatment?
It is the practitioners primary goal to provide a safe and effective treatment within your level of comfort. For most people, this includes disrobing down to your underwear. In some circumstances; for example, if your treatment goals include a lot of hip and gluteal work, it can be helpful to remove your underwear for effective treatment. But disrobing IS ALWAYS to your comfort level and no further. BC RMT's practice draping techniques instructed by the College of Massage Therapists of BC, which means only the area that is being treated is uncovered at any given time.
