Covid 19 - Cleaning Protocols

Chantel is committed to taking the utmost care in providing a safe, secure and limited exposure environment for us all.

Following guidelines put forward by CMTBC, RMTBC, PHO and Worksafe BC, the Chantel has outlined specific Protocols and Procedures both the Therapist and Patients are Required to follow upon returning to practice

Between every appointment, while using single use gloves & PHO approved disinfectant in a spray bottle, clockwise, the Therapist will disinfect around the entire treatment room all surfaces, including:

  • Door/Door handle, inside and out

  • Lotion bottle

  • Cabinet handles/touch open areas

  • Desk, devices/pens used

  • Any Treatment Tools used

  • Stool

  • Massage table with special attention to the head rest cradle, headrest cushion, and table legs near the headrest

  • Massage Table vinyl covering

  • Side table

  • Any other surfaces touched by the patient or their belongings

  • Floor

  • Remove all linens in a contained bin, prior to cleaning


Between every appointment disinfect all high touch areas in the common space, including:

  • Door handles

  • Faucet/sink

  • Toilet handle and seat

  • Washing machine

  • Laundry basket

  • Cabinet open areas

  • Front desk

  • Chair/stool

  • Closet handles


Launder all linens, blankets, and hand towels after every use.
